Don't Be a Coward: Embrace Reality

Has there ever been one of those moments where it feels like you're stuck in a bubble?
As if you're completely wrapped in fluff all around, yet you're too scared to pop it?

That is how most people live their lives. They just coast through life, never really challenging themselves or the world around them. Clichés and motivational quotes are what they hide behind, never really facing harsh reality.

Now, here's the real deal, champ: life's a bitch, and then you die. Not a journey or a destination, but a freakin' battlefield. And if you want to make it through, you gotta stop being a coward and be a warrior.

Think of those stupid inspirational posters: "Happiness is a journey, not a destination."

They're supposed to make you feel good, give you false security. But they're also a trap. They blind you from seeing the world the way it really is and from acting upon that.

Thing is, punk, reality doesn't give a flying f**k about how you're feeling: if you're happy or sad or comfortable or scared. It just is. And how to take up the deal with it is to quit being a crybaby and become a problem-solver.

Well, how then do you do it?

Develop some resilience and grit. Harden up, get used to life's hardness. Learn to view challenges as opportunities, and use your head to fix things rather than crying about them.

You'll be so much stronger than you ever thought possible when you stop being a baby and start being a badass. You'll be able to deal with anything—from a flat tire to a terminal illness. You'll be unbeatable at that.

And the best thing? You will be free

Free from the illusion of happiness,

Free from the fear of not making it big,

Free from the need for approval.

You will have the ability to live life on your own terms without being hampered by the cringing, nervous thoughts concerning other people's opinions or actions.

So the next time you want to crawl under your bed, remember this:

you're not some delicate flower; you're a goddamn warrior.

Embrace reality, and there isn't anything you can't do.

What do you think?

Ready to drop your inner coward and become a badass?

Ready to pound your way through fears by facing reality?

Let's have a word in the comments, if you dare.
